Randi is a 4th Year PhD Candidate iin Geospatial Analytics. Her hobbies include taking nature walks, playing with her dog Dexter, and naps. Her goals for BGSA are to build community and make connections across campus and locally with other black students.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Vice-President<\/strong>: Destiny Barr<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Destiny is a 1st year Master\u2019s in Public Administration. Her goal ifor BGSA is to make a meaningful impact on NCSU\u2019s campus and in our community by inspiring young Black professionals to pursue higher education.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Secretary<\/strong>: Elizabeth Wood<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Elizabeth is a 2nd year Master\u2019s of Education Program student, majoring in Higher Education Administration. Her hobbies include concerts and live music, trying new foods, and traveling. Her goals for BGSA this year include capturing and sharing relevant information for BGSA and the larger community.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Treasurer<\/strong>: Deja Perkins<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deja is a 4th year PhD Candidate in Geospatial Analytics. Her hobbies include bird watching and she is an expert in identifying avian species. Deja’s goals for BGSA is to expand the reach of the organization and also collaborate with more organizations on and off campus.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Aakilah is a 2nd year PhD Student in Animal Science. Her hobbies include ice skating and running. Her goal for BGSA this year is to increase attendance at events.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Co-Chair of Communications<\/strong>: Maurika Smutherman<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maurika is a 4th year PhD Candidate in Communication, Rhetoric, and Digital Media. Her hobbies include thrifting, sneakers, cooking, and DJing. Her goal for BGSA this year is to support communication between BGSA and the university.<\/p>\n<\/div>
