Dr. Jason Delborne

Jason Delborne is an associate professor in the Department of Forestry and Environmental Resources. He teaches courses in natural resource policy and conducts social science research on a variety of environmental issues, ranging from invasive species management to wastewater reuse to the restoration of the American chestnut tree. Jason came to NC State in 2013 as part of the Chancellor’s Faculty Excellence Program in Genetic Engineering and Society. He has been a faculty advisor for ESA since 2017.

 

 

 

Renee Strnad

Renee Strnad (she, her, hers) has been the Environmental Educator for Extension Forestry, housed in the College of Natural Resources at NC State University, since 2000.  Born and raised in Kansas, she attended Kansas State University and earned a BS in Wildlife Biology and a secondary major degree in Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences. In 2015 she completed a masters degree from Lesley University in Ecological Teaching and Learning. In her role at the university, Renee serves as the state coordinator for Project Learning Tree (an environmental education curriculum) and also has responsibilities for 4-H natural resource programming statewide. She has enjoyed watching the growing interest in research around environmental education (EE) across campus and serves on many graduate/doctoral student committees and is a member of the EE Lab.  In her free-time, Renee likes to garden, walk along the American Tobacco Trail, and kayak.  She lives in Durham with her partner (Scot), and their pets.

Renee has been an Advisor for ESA since 2017. She is a NCSU  Project SAFE Ally, and part of the university’s GLBT Advocate program. You can find her office in 4225 Jordan Hall addition, and can reach her at rlstrnad@ncsu.edu.
