The IRC 2023-2024 Election Process
Timeline
- Here is the timeline and process for the IRC 2023 – 2024 election process.
- Tuesday January 10th(first meeting of spring semester)
- application materials go out
- eRezLife application opens
- Wednesday, February 15th @ 11:59 pm
- application materials due
- Tuesday, February 21st
- Application materials (presentations) go out to councils for review
- Tuesday, March 21st
- Elections for:
- President
- Vice President of Business and Finance
- Vice President of National Communication Coordination
- Elections for:
- Tuesday, March 28th
- Elections for:
- Vice President of Community Affairs
- Vice President of Programming
- Vice President of Marketing
- Elections for:
- April 18th
- IRC Banquet, new officers sworn in
- Tuesday January 10th(first meeting of spring semester)
Application Details
The application will be completed on the Housing Hiring Software called “eRezLife”. There are two main sections of the application:
The first is filling out your personal information. This is used to process the hiring paperwork if you are elected into the position you ran for. This link will become available later today (1/10).
The second part is a presentation. This is what you will be presenting to the IRC General Assembly. The general assembly will be voting on the IRC Executive Board for the upcoming academic year on behalf of all the residential councils.
Elections will go by gavel order unless someone applies for two positions
The results of the election will be announced while the IRC meeting is still in session each night. If you are not elected for your initial position you applied for on March 21st, you are able to run for a different position the following week on March 28th. Have your new presentation submitted via email to irc-president@ncsu.edu by Tuesday March 23rd at 5:00PM.

- Direct IRC and Housing Experiences
- Other Related Experiences
- Resume/Portfolio (if applicable)
- Weekly Commitments
- Why do you want this specific position?
- How do you plan to continue to rebuild IRC through your potential position?

Housing Selection Process Information
- Submit housing application by Feb. 3rd @5pm
- Participate in one of room selection options (assigned based on credit hours)
