The General Assembly is formed by representatives from each residential community that are voted into the position by their peers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>General Assembly meetings have agendas to handle IRC business and they typically include the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A third-party speaker from an NC State organization (Counseling Center, Wellness &amp; Recreation, etc.). IRC General Assembly meetings are open to all students (unless noted) and will be held every Tuesday from 6-8pm in Talley 4140.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Committees<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the 2026-2027 Year, the following Committees have been formed by the IRC Executive Board:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>President\u2019s Roundtable (PRT)\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Chair: IRC President<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Members: Hall\/Area Council Presidents<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Focus: Work with Council Presidents, Produce\/Provide Leadership Materials, Determine how to improve IRC Organization-Wide<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Programming and Advocacy Allocations Committee (PAAC)\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Chair: IRC VP of Business and Finance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Members: Hall\/Area Council Treasurers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Focus: Allocate Internal and External funds to Hall Councils and Student Organizations for the benefit of the Residential Student Population<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Service and Programming Committee (SAP)\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Co-Chairs:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>IRC VP of Programming<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>IRC VP of Recognition and Service<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Members: IRC Representatives as assigned by the IRC President<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Focus: Plan both large and small-scale events for IRC and work with Councils in their Programming efforts. Plan and coordinate service projects (volunteering, donation drives, food\/clothing collections, charity partnerships).\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Public Outreach Committee\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Co-Chairs:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>IRC VP of Community Affairs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>IRC VP of Media and Marketing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Members: IRC Representatives as assigned by the IRC President &amp; Members of the Residential Student Population<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Focus: Promote IRC through Advocacy, Outreach, and Volunteering Initiatives.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This is an open Committee to any student who wishes to get involved in IRC without joining a Hall Council.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Advocating for Residential Students<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Volunteering for IRC Tabling and\/or Events<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Student Outreach<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Improving Community on Campus<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you are interested in being apart of this committee or if you have any questions, please email\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:irc-communityaffairs@ncsu.edu\">irc-communityaffairs@ncsu.edu<\/a>\u00a0or\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:irc-marketing@ncsu.edu\">irc-marketing@ncsu.edu<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Committees also give leadership development opportunities for council members and residents across NC State\u2019s campus while also allowing these individuals to set the precedent for an organization that represents all of NC State\u2019s on-campus students.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Schedule &amp; Location The first General Assembly meeting in the Fall 2026 semester will be held from 6-8pm on September 22 in the Talley Governance Chamber (4140).
