What is an OTM?

An OTM is an Of The Month award which strives to recognize individuals on campus who are doing amazing things!

Requirements of an OTM

All OTMs must be between 300-600 words to be considered on a campus, state, regional, or national level. The OTM must be relevant to the month it is being submitted for, and should mention the month at least once.

How do I write an OTM?

Write about someone/something that you are passionate about recognizing! Be honest and descriptive about who/what you are nominating. Each OTM must be a minimum of 300 words to be considered as a Campus Winner, with a maximum word count of 600. Each OTM must be specific to the month that it is being written for, and should mention the month by time.

How do I submit an OTM?

All OTMs are submitted on the national OTM website. This website can be found here.

It is recommended that you create an account, so that you are linked to the university, as well as are able to keep track of all of the OTMs that you have submitted. To create an account, click here.

Why submit an OTM?

Writing an OTM for someone helps to show them how appreciated they are. Oftentimes, it will brighten their day to read an OTM letting them know they are making a difference. Additionally, it’s always nice to write an OTM that gets selected as a winner (campus, state, regional, or national)!
