If you are anything like me, you like to match your mood to your movie of choice. So in this 100 degree July heat, you aren\u2019t necessarily looking for a gloomy film with autumnal motifs. There\u2019s definitely certain elements I\u2019m looking for in a summer movie, included but not limited to a paradisal setting, coming-of-age themes and a majority of the movie\u2019s durations spent outdoors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So for any cinephiles, or casual movie enjoyers, I have listed below eight quintessential summer movies, for fans of comedies, horrors and dramas alike, that will surely tick off the important themes of anyone\u2019s summer journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Stand by Me<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n\u201cStand by Me\u201d (1986) is a heartfelt coming of age film following four boys who set out on a journey to find the missing body of a boy. The movie perfectly encapsulates the nostalgic feeling of spending a summer day outside with your friends.
