  • Each Fall, students have the opportunity to run for the following positions:
    • First-Year Student Senate (10 seats)*
      •    12 candidates running

Fall ’18 Election Checklist and Timeline

  • Friday, August 24, 2018 at 8:00 AM:  Filing for Candidacy Opens
  • Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at 5:00 PM:  Filing for Candidacy Closes
    • Attend one of two All Candidates Meetings
    • Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at 5:00 PM (Talley 4140):  All Candidates Meeting
    • Thursday, September 6, 2018 at 6:00 PM (Talley 4140):  All Candidates Meeting
    • Draft your Candidate Bio: Bios due Friday, September 7 at 5:00 PM
    • Note: If you cannot attend one of the All Candidates Meetings, send a rep.
  • Monday, September 10, 2018: Campaigning Begins – 8:00 AM
  • Monday, September 17, 2018: Submit your second Finance Report by 5:00 PM
  • Monday, September 24, 2018: Voting Opens – 8:00 PM
  • Tuesday, September 25, 2018: Voting Closes – 8:00 PM
    • Submit your fourth Finance Report by 8:00 PM
    • Fall Election Reveal – 9:00 PM One Earth Lounge
  • Wednesday, September 26, 2018: First Senate Meeting – 7:30 PM
  • Thursday, September 27, 2018: Runoff Voting from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM
    • If a runoff election is needed, it will take place on this date
    • Runoff election reveal will be posted online within 24 hours of the close of polls
