[HOWL] Thanksgiving and Campus Events

Message from the SBP [Paul Nolan]

Good evening, Wolfpack!  It’s your favorite SBP with your weekly Howl!  First, I’d like to apologize for not sending the Howl last week.  It was a hectic week… but we got this!

The most important thing to note: last Friday, the university’s Board of Trustees approved tuition and fee increases for next year (2017-18).  I took the time to explain these increases as clearly as possible — and state where that revenue will be going — on our Student Government website.  The increases are not set-in-stone, the next step is to get approval from the UNC Board of Governors.  I felt that y’all deserve to know where we are in the process, and what the NC State students, committees, Chancellor, and Trustees agreed upon.

Also, we’re experimenting with a new style of the Howl!  I’d really like your feedback on the online format. Keep being great and I wish you all safe travels during this break!

With Wolfpack Spirit,

Paul

Shoutout to my friend Katie Bell this week!  If you see me on campus, ask for a shoutout!  Please be mindful of the following student-submitted events.

SERVE ON A UNIVERSITY STANDING COMMITTEE

NC State has 17 university standing committees that evaluate various aspects of the institution. Students are vital members of these committees. If you are interested in serving on a committee, email sbp@ncsu.edu.
