Student Body President

Student Body President Timothy Reid (he/him) is a fourth-year undergraduate student studying Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and a minor in Political Science. He is from Cornelius, NC, a suburb of Charlotte. The Student Body President serves as the principal advocate for student interests as the chief executive officer of the student body, leader of the Executive Branch of Student Government, a voting member of the Board of Trustees, and the NC State leading representative to the UNC Association of Student Governments.

Timothy, a Park Scholar, has been active in Student Government since his freshman year at NC State. Prior to being elected Student Body President, he served as Student Body Vice President, a PCOM Student Senator, and a First-Year Student Senator.

Outside of Student Government, Timothy has been involved in several other student organizations that are close to his heart. Since his freshman year, Timothy has served as an Ambassador for the Poole College of Management; where he works to attract some of the best and brightest students to NC State. He is also a Business Analyst for NC State’s branch of Consult Your Community, which provides pro-bono consulting services to women and minority-owned businesses in the Raleigh area. Timothy is an active member of the Eta Omicron Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha, where he serves as chapter vice president. Additionally, Timothy remains involved in Service Raleigh, previously serving on the Planning Committee and regularly participating in service events every year.
