Treasury Branch Notice Regarding Transition to Cashless Operations

Treasury Branch Notice 06 – July 13, 2022

TITLE:  A Notice to Announce Student Government’s Transition to Cashless Operations for Appropriations and Student Senate Finance Committee Allocations

In accordance with new policy from NC State University Cashier’s Office and the Division of Academic and Student Affairs, beginning August 1st, Student Government will be transitioning to cashless operations for both Appropriations and Student Senate Finance Committee Allocations processes.  This means that Student Government can no longer accept cash as a form of payment for returned funds from student organizations.  This new policy will affect all past, current, and future Appropriations cycles (including the Spring Break 2022 – Fall Break 2022 Cycle) and any returned funds from the Student Senate Finance Committee Allocations process.

The last day Student Government can accept cash as a form of payment for returned funds is July 21, 2022.  Cash may be dropped off to the Treasury Office at Talley 4251E or mailed.  If mailing returned funds, they must be delivered by end of day on July 21 to be processed.  Please be sure to follow the directions on our website for returning funds.  Student Government will continue to accept checks as a form of payment for returned funds following this transition to cashless operations.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause student organizations.  Student Government strives to support organizations in any way we can.  If your organization has any questions or concerns, please contact either Deputy Treasurer Aiden Portnoy at sgdeputytreasurer@ncsu.edu or Student Body Treasurer Harrison Andrews at sbt@ncsu.edu
