NCSU NAACP Holds Rally for Trayvon Martin
On Tuesday, the NC State NAACP held a march in honor of Trayvon Martin. Martin was gunned down on February 26th, in Sanford, Florida. The shooter George Zimmerman has not been arrested for the murder and is claiming self defense. In Florida, there is a “Stand Your Ground Law,” which which in a nutshell states that citizens can use any force neccesary to protect themselves in violent situations. The march on campus was endorsed by the Afrikan American Student Advisory Council which is an organization of presidents from various African American oriented organizations on campus.
