FAQs

Got Questions?

What is the difference between the Chair and Vice Chair?

The Vice Chair position is for student leaders who are looking for ways to get involved with the board but with a little less responsibility. Vice Chairs are designed to allow the up and coming student leader more opportunity to grow in their leadership or the actively involved student leader another opportunity to be involved with the Union Activities Board. For more information, check out the Job Descriptions.

Is there a GPA Requirement to be on the Union Activities Board?

Yes, UAB leaders must maintain at least a 2.5 GPA to be on the board.

What if I’m not available for the individual interview or group interview times?

Both parts of the interview process are required to be eligible for a position on the University Activities Board. If you have a time conflict, please contact uab-president@ncsu.edu as soon as possible.

If I’m not chosen to be a committee chair on the board, are there other ways to get involved with UAB?

Absolutely! We are always needing more committee members! Especially keep an eye out in the fall for ways you can join one of our committees
