Charter History

monumental

Ten phenomenal women chartered the Mu Omicron Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. on October 25, 1975 on the campus of North Carolina State University. Mu Omicron is the first African-American sorority to be chartered on NC State’s campus. Through innovative programs, continuous community service, and scholarly acts, the Mu Omicron Chapter has continued the legacy of upholding the stature and prestige of its Charter Members. On-campus and in the surrounding community the past and present members have shown their dedication, commitment to service, scholarship, and holding the true meaning of sisterhood in their hearts.
