Last weekend, the Club Quidditch team trekked all the way to Monroeville, Pennsylvania to compete in the USQ Mid-Atlantic Regionals! It was an 8 hour drive that was well worth the trip. Regionals provides teams with the opportunity to earn a bid to nationals, and although we did not get a bid, participating was an excellent learning experience for all of us!
Saturday started off brisk and cold, with a high in the low 40s. The team was all bundled up and ready to go, and began the day with a win against Johns Hopkins University. This victory secured us a game on Sunday. The rest of the day, the team did the best they could, and even though we did not win any other games, we caught the snitch in four out of five of the games we played that weekend. Sunday consisted of only one game for the team, as we lost in a single elimination bracket. All things considered, we put forth our best effort and had a great time doing so, and although we did not win, we gained experience and will come back stronger next year!
