Chauncey Cup

On March 24th, the Club Quidditch team at NC State traveled down to South Carolina for Coastal Carolina University’s Chauncey Cup.  The tournament was hosted alongside the Saltwater Highland Games.  After an extremely early wake-up call, the team started out strong going 4-0 in pool play.  Pool play consisted of two pools of three teams each, in which each team played every other team twice.  By placing in the highest seed after pool play, the team got a pass in bracket play, making it to semi-finals against UNCW.  The team was able to win against UNCW, and captain Michael Brown procured his fifth official snitch catch of the day.  Finally, the last game of the day was against CCU for the championship title, and NC State emerged victorious. For the first time in NCSU history, the Club Quidditch team has won a tournament!  We ended the day with 6 wins and 0 losses. Go WolfPack!
