About Us
What is Roundabout Magazine?
Roundabout is a general interest magazine that focuses on student life and culture. We publish three times a year: for fall, spring and new student orientation. You can see examples of our previous issues here. If you are a Freshman, you have likely received our orientation issue in the mail!
Roundabout was founded in 2017 as a subset of the Technician, but since then we’ve become an independent publication. Our primary mission is to cover student life in an entertaining way, and give more creative space to student journalists. Since we’ve been founded, we’ve distributed tens of thousands of copies and our orientation issue has become Student Media’s single highest-grossing product.
Meet the Team
Layney Keesee
Editor-in-Chief
Layney is a third-year English literature major with minors in anthropology and history. When not in the Roundabout office, Layney can be found at the Gregg Museum of Art and Design, or writing an essay in the D.H. Hill bookstacks. In her rare bits of free time, she enjoys reading, crafting, and coffee shop hopping.

Autumn Tate
Assistant Design Editor
Autumn is a third-year Graphic & Experience Design major with minors in English and Rhetoric, Writing and Professional Communication. While not spending hours on design projects, Autumn can be found pursuing random avenues or grabbing a bite at Talley Student Union. In her spare time she likes listening to music, the occasional photography, and watching her favorite TV shows.

Alannah Anderson
Promotions Director
Alannah is a third-year marine science major with minors in applied ecology, zoology and biological sciences. Frequently, she can be found studying at the James B. Hunt Jr. library, most definitely with a coffee or somewhere the sun shines, taking lots of pictures of flowers. Her passions include science communication, shark tooth hunting and traveling.
