How Can I Get Involved?

The primary ways you can contribute are with writing and art/design. We are happy to accept all majors and experience levels! You’ll be trained via our correspondency process.

If you’re more into photography, Student Media has a shared photo/video staff that serves every Student Media outlet. They provide training and equipment too! If you’re curious about joining them, email our adviser Ray at erblack@ncsu.edu

What’s the Time Commitment Like?

Because Roundabout only publishes three times a year (Fall, Spring, and Summer), we have all-staff meetings every two weeks and there is plenty of time before deadlines. This means that we are excellent if you want to work for other clubs or Student Media outlets at the same time (or if you’re just super busy). Our editorial staff does have weekly meetings, however. Being an editor is better if you want to become exclusively involved with Roundabout.

Our all-staff meetings are on Wednesdays at 7PM in Witherspoon Student Center room 204. This year, they’ll start on August 28th.

What do I do next?

Add our interest meeting and/or the Student Media open house to your google calendar (links underlined)! Meet the editors and get the inside scoop on Roundabout!

The open house is on the first day of class, August 19, from 4-7 PM in Witherspoon Student Center (you do not have to be there the whole time, drop in whenever). Our interest meeting is during our first all-staff meeting, August 28th at 7 PM in Witherspoon 204.
