- Based on the SAVMA Constitution “No Show” guidelines:
-
- If a student signs up for a lunch meeting and needs to give up their spot it is the student’s responsibility to find a replacement or, if this fails, contact the club president/company rep in a timely manner with a valid excuse.
- If a student does not find a replacement or contact the club president/company rep and still fails to attend the lunch meeting, the student will be given a warning. If the student ‘no shows’ twice, the student will be banned from signing up for lunch meetings for the remainder of the semester. Please note that students may still attend lunch meetings for content, but are not allowed to sign up for food.
- If a student is caught taking food from a lunch meeting without attending said meeting the student does not get a warning. The student will be banned from signing up for lunch meetings for the remainder of the semester. Please note that students may still attend lunch meetings for content, but are not allowed to sign up for food.
- Students will be allowed to refute these consequences by either talking to their SAVMA class rep, coming to the SAVMA board meeting, or speaking with the SAVMA Executive Board.
- In regards to reporting students who may have taken food and did not attend the meeting or left the meeting early without consent of the Club President, anyone has the right to report these findings to the Club President. The Club President will then report these findings to the SAVMA Secretary-elect.
- Clarification: If you have an excused absence, it is your responsibility to let the club president of the lunch meeting know along with proof of approval from the School which will then be communicated to the Secretary-elect by the Club President. Excused absences will be excused of missed lunch meetings.
