Companies and private or corporate veterinary practices interested in having a presence at the NC State College of Veterinary Medicine have multiple ways to engage with students:
1. Post Employment Opportunities (extern, part-time, full-time) on ePACK for CVM Students and Alumni
- Open positions with your company/practice/organization can be posted on NC State’s free job board, ePACK (https://ncsu-csm.symplicity.com/). We actively encourage students and alumni to check here for employment opportunities. This is a free service for both job seekers and employers. Postings must adhere to NC State’s job posting policy.
2. Student/Professional Networking
- Alumni mentoring
CVM Career Services and Student Engagement will recruit alumni to serve as individual mentors for current DVM students. Encourage any NC State CVM alumni to participate for an opportunity to connect your company with our students.
- Alumni networking events
CVM Student Engagement will coordinate one to two networking events each semester for current students and alumni. If you have alumni working at your company/practice, please invite them to RSVP and attend the event!
- Panels
SAVMA will coordinate one to two opportunities per semester for multiple types of practices, companies, and focus areas to be represented in conversations about the profession.
3. SAVMA Lunch and Learns (Fall and Spring)
In conjunction with CVM Student Engagement, NC State SAVMA allows one on-campus lunchtime event each weekday of the regular academic semester. The room will be reserved and the event will be advertised automatically on a weekly email digest and a public CVM activities calendar.
