Abhirami Archana Linesh

Abhirami is a Junior studying Computer Science and Business Administration. She has competed in Science Olympiad regionals and state tournaments from elementary school through High School at Ardrey Kell High School, Charlotte. Outside of class she is involved with dance, writing, and learning more about people!

Finance Chair:
Siddharth Sivakumar

Siddharth Sivakumar is a third-year undergraduate student at NCSU, majoring in Aerospace Engineering and Nuclear Engineering. He competed with Carnage MS and Enloe HS over the span of seven years. Siddharth’s favorite event was Wright Stuff (Flight/Helicopter). Outside of class, you would likely find him sailing, fencing, or playing badminton.

Victor competed for Davis Drive Middle and was a high school coach for the Middle School team in Cary, NC. His favorite event is Forensics. Outside of class, you can find him reading, listening to music, or playing video games.

Evan Sayani

Evan competed for Northern Guilford High School in Greensboro, NC. His favorite events are Ping Pong Parachute and Bottle Rockets. Outside of class, you can find him snowboarding, surfing, and listening to music.

Meghana Pandit

Meghana Pandit competed for Piedmont Open IB Middle School at the regional, state, and national level as well as for Weddington High School at the Charlotte regional level. Her favorite events were Anatomy and Physiology and Battery Buggy, which ultimately led her to pursue a degree in Biomedical Engineering as she loved both engineering and medicine. Outside of class, you can find her listening to music, taking photos, or spending time with her friends.

Afzaa Rahman

Afzaa Mujibur Rahman is a Goodnight Scholar studying Biomedical Engineering. She competed for nine years, and was the club president at Research Triangle High School. Her favorite events were Gravity Vehicle and Fermi Questions. Outside of class, you can find her tending to her plants, painting landscapes, or snuggling with her cat :).

Alex Patterson

Alex Patterson is a Civil Engineering major with emphasis in transportation engineering. He competed for South Brunswick Middle School and High School in Southport, NC. Outside of class, he enjoys playing the tuba, reading, golfing, traveling, and playing video games.

Admin Chair:
Jenna Holt

Jenna Holt competed for Topsail High School on both a regional and state level. Her favorite events were Fossils and Rocks and Minerals, which is ultimately what led her to pursue a geology degree at NC State! Outside of class, you can find her playing board games with her friends or holed up on the ninth floor of the library attempting to study.

Avani Patel is a Biology major and competed for eight years, starting in elementary school and then with Piedmont Open IB Middle School. She continued with Mallard Creek High School at both regional and state levels, where she also served as her club’s vice president. Her favorite events were Wright Stuff (Flight), WIDI, and Bottle Rocket. Outside of class you can find her at concerts, watching movies, or traveling!

Jeimy Aguilar-Mayoral is a second year student majoring in Animal Science with a concentration in Veterinary Bioscience and a minor in Zoology. She has competed in Science Olympiad since her sophomore year of high school at the Early College of Forsyth participating in her favorite build/experiment events: Trajectory, Scrambler, Gravity Vehicle, and Experimental Design (Shout out Coach Wright!). Outside of school, you can find Jeimy working as a Veterinary Assistant, journaling, and spending time with loved ones and friends!

Jeremy Welty is a third year transfer student majoring in Applied Mathematics, with a minor in Computer Programming. He transferred from Wake Tech with an Associate of Science in the spring of 2025, and is also a Goodnight Transfer Scholar! He competed in Science Olympiad in his junior and senior years at Wake Forest High School, medaling in Codebusters and Chem Lab, as well as competing in Remote Sensing and Write It Do It. Outside of classes, you can find Jeremy helping students with math, playing board games, and roaming around campus!

John Ameri

John is a Junior studying civil engineering with a concentration in transportation. He has competed in science olympiad for all divisions, competing for South Topsail Elementary, and Topsail Middle and Topsail High School. His favorite events to compete in were Road Scholar, Dynamic Planet, and Towers. Outside of science olympiad, John is a member of the marching and pep band at NC State, which he claims “fills me with tons of wolfpack exuberance. Go pack!”

Youness Bounkiba

Youness Bounkiba is a third year transfer student majoring in Statistics and Math Education. He transferred from Wake Tech with an Associate of Science in the spring of 2025, and is also a Goodnight Transfer Scholar! He peer-tutored at Wake Tech for two years, and has always been passionate about helping the community! Outside of classes, you can find Youness at Hill Library studying, or hanging out with friends on campus!

I am a 2nd year transfer student majoring in Biological Sciences with a concentration in Molecular Cellular and Development, and also minoring in Biotechnology. I transferred from Coastal Carolina Community College during the Fall of 2025. You can often find me at the VR lab (at Hill library) or at Clark Dining Hall.

Alexis Martin

Alexis Martin is currently a first-year student studying Chemical Engineering with a Biomolecular concentration. She competed in Science Olympiad with Cape Fear throughout her high school career on both a regional and state level. Her favorite event is Forensics and anything involving chemicals, really. Outside of class, you might find her at Hill, or not at all… because she is in her dorm studying.

Finance Leadership Assistant: Johnathan Strickland

Johnathan is a first-year student studying meteorology. He competed in Science Olympiad for eight years with the Wilmington Academy of Arts and Sciences, Isaac Bear Early College, and the NC School of Science and Math at the regional, state, and national level. In 2024, he placed 1st in Ecology at the national tournament. His favorite events are Meteorology, Ornithology, and Geologic Mapping. Outside of class, he enjoys running, surfing, and just generally getting outdoors!

Test Events Leadership Assistant:
Vijay Saradhi Chavali

Vijay is a first-year Human Biology major with an interest in life sciences and teamwork in competitive science. He has participated in Science Olympiad, competing in events such as Cell Biology, Astronomy, and Microbe Mission, where he placed 3rd at the regional level.
As a Leader Assistant, Vijay enjoys helping others understand concepts, supporting team members during preparation, and creating a positive and collaborative environment. He is especially interested in microbiology and enjoys learning about how microorganisms affect human health. He brings a friendly attitude, strong communication skills, and a willingness to help others succeed.

Shreya Balaji

Shreya competed in Science Olympiad during elementary and middle school, participating at the state level. Some of her favorite events were Aerodynamics and Bottle Rocket, where she enjoyed the creativity and problem-solving involved in designing and testing builds. Her interest in science has led her to pursue a pre-med track. She is excited to support Science Olympiad as a Logistics Chair Assistant through the SciOly Leadership Assistance Program. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with friends, going to the beach, and shopping.

Digital Outreach Leadership Assistant: Stella Hayes

Stella is currently a first-year majoring in Environmental Sciences. She competed in Science Olympiad throughout elementary, middle, and high school. Her favorite events in high school was Flight (later renamed Helicopter) and Astronomy. In 2024, she earned a bronze medal in Flight at the State Tournament. She is excited to be a part of the leadership team of a program that allowed her to explore STEM. Outside of class, Stella likes hanging out with friends, spending time outside, thrifting, or doing anything crafty.

Fundraising Leadership Assistant:
Lily Ferroni

Lily is a first-year student majoring in Animal Science with a minor in Spanish in hopes of pursuing vet school. She has competed in Science Olympiad since Elementary school, and even founded the first club at her high school. Her favorite event was Flight, which is now named helicopter. In 2024, she earned a 5th place and bronze medal at the state competition. Outside of Science Olympiad, she enjoys snowboarding, hiking, and taking care of her two dogs. She is very excited to be an integral part of the leadership team, and cannot wait to see what the future holds!
