NC State
Graduate Student Association

All fee-paying graduate students may receive free and confidential assistance from the attorneys at University Student Legal Services. USLS’s website includes examples of legal matters on which they represent and advise students.

Immigration attorney Hoang Lam, who joined USLS in February, has asked UGSA to tell graduate students that USLS can help with issues such as:

  • Green cards / permanent residency
  • U.S. citizenship applications
  • Temporary protected status
  • Change of immigration status
  • Asylum

To access legal services, make an appointment by phone. Call USLS at 919-515-7091 and leave a message, or call Mr. Lam directly at 919-515-7092. USLS is in Pullen Hall, which is near Student Health Services on Dan Allen Drive.
