Chapter Rebates

Each GSA chapter in good standing is given a rebate based on its size and its participation in the GSA. Please contact the treasurer for more information on how the rebates are calculated. Additional information is also available in the GSA Constitution.

Start Up Grant Application

New GSA Chapters are eligible to apply for a one-time $300 start up grant after they become an accepted an eligible chapter within the GSA. Chapters are only eligible for this grant within their first year of joining GSA All-Council. To apply for a block grant, fill out the application below and send it to the GSA Exec Board. Please be sure to carefully read the instructions on the first page to ensure you are eligible for a block grant before sending in your application.

Block Grants

Chapters can also receive grants of up to $500 per academic year to support events across academic departments at NC State. Block grants are evaluated and voted on by the executive board. The full amount of funding will be awarded to organizations that demonstrate inter-departmental cooperation and possess great academic value.

To apply for a block grant, fill out the application below and send it to the GSA Exec Board. Please be sure to carefully read the instructions on the first page to ensure you are eligible for a block grant before sending in your application. Conference Travel Grants

Interested in going to a conference to present your research? Worried about not being able to afford the trip?

The GSA Conferences and Travel Awards consist of the GSA Award for Conferences and GSA Travel Assistance Award. These are highly competitive, merit-based awards intended to cover the costs of attending a conference for NC State graduate students. More information can be found on our Travel Awards Page.
