The role of Chief of Staff varies from administration to administration, but consistently, the Chief of Staff serves as the chief student advisor to the Student Body President and Student Body Vice President, as well as the internal manager of the Executive Branch. The Chief of Staff serves as a resource and advocate to empower our student leaders to constantly improve.
Maddie Kohls is a Senior studying Animal Science with a pre-vet concentration and is double minoring in Military Science and Nonprofit Studies. Alongside her studies, she is also in the Army ROTC program and works for the CALS Career Services as the Marketing and Events Assistant. As the Executive Chief of Staff, Maddie helps manages the Executive Branch, planning and execution of meetings, and assisting the SBP Heavlin and SBVP Bress n on a number of administrative tasks. She is passionate about creating a welcoming and inclusive environment at NC State and is excited to continue her role in Student Government.
