The Communications Department for SG has a unique but concise mission: improve the culture of communication through NC State’s campus to help promote the community, bring unity, and create an environment for opportunities. Natalie Yeung (she/her) is a junior majoring in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations, and minoring in Technology Engineering Design Education as well as Graphic Communications. She joined Student Government her first year as a member of the Department of Communications during the 100th session, and recently served as the Assistant Director of Communications for the 101st session. Her vision for this department includes increasing students’ awareness of the organization’s work, establishing a sustainable system for the department, and developing the skills of department members. She looks forward to using this position to connect the student body with its representatives; ensuring SG is transparent, accountable, and accessible to members of the Wolfpack. Besides SG, she is involved in Consult Your Community, the University Committee on Commencement, and the University Student Group on the University Police.
