The Inaugural Run for Razan 5k is an event inspired by Razan Abu-Salha, one of three students killed in the 2015 Chapel Hill shooting that took the lives of Razan, her sister Yusor, and brother-in-law Deah. Razan, an avid runner, was training for the Rock ‘n’ Roll Half-Marathon in Raleigh before her death. Her closest friend and fellow student Yasmine Inaya ran the race in Razan’s shoes, and has since been inspired to create a race in her honor. In partnership with NC State campus partners, we hope this event will inspire others to walk in Razan’s footsteps, and live a fulfilling and healthy life. Registration is free and t-shirts will be available on race day! Please register at the following link: go.ncsu.edu/runforrazan.
