Bio

Student Body President Allison Markert (she/her) is a fourth-year undergraduate student studying Natural Resources with a concentration in Policy and Administration, minoring in Political Science. A Charlotte native, Allison was brought to NC State for their student environment and involvement opportunities. As Student Body President, Allison serves as the chief executive of Student Government, a voting member on the Board of Trustees, the leader of the Executive Branch, and the NC State leading representative to the UNC Association of Student Governments. Additionally, Allison works to maintain, strengthen, and build relationships with university partners and administration.

Allison has been active in Student Government since her first year on campus. Prior to her election to Student Body President, she serves as a First-Year Student Senator, a College of Natural Resources Senator, and as Student Body Vice President.

On campus at NC State, Allison is an active member of the Eta Upsilon Chapter of Kappa Delta and has served as a member of the Recruitment Team, Standards Board, and Philanthropy Committee. She works on campus as the Alumni and Donor Relations Coordinator for the College of Natural Resources. She also serves on the Raleigh Community Engagement Board.
