About the Treasury Branch

As the most forward-facing branch of Student Government, the Treasury Branch is the financial backbone of NC State’s student body. We oversee the Student Body Budget, lead the Appropriations Council, collaborate closely with the Student Senate Finance Committee, and drive key initiatives—ranging from tuition and fees advocacy to internal auditing and accountability.

Composed of three specialized divisions and led by our Student Body Treasurer, the Treasury Branch ensures that every student dollar is used transparently, efficiently, and reliably.

Branch Personnel

Student Body Treasurer

The Student Body Treasurer oversees the Treasury Branch as well as the spending of the Student Government Funds.

Deputy Treasurer

The Division of Student Organization Support manages the Student Government Appropriations process, as well as administratively supports the Appropriations Council, and provides support and resources to student organizations.

SG Appropriations

The Appropriations process is the main venue for Student Government to provide financial support for events, activities, and enrichment opportunities for students through student organizations at NC State.

Finance Committee Grants

The Appropriations Council is the body within Student Government tasked to ensure the fair distribution of Student Body Funds to registered student organizations.
