Getting Started with Appropriations

Fall Break 2026 - Spring Break 2027 Cycle

Welcome student leaders! Whether your organization is applying for the first time or returning for a new cycle, we are here to support your events, projects, and growth.

We’ve broken down the steps for you to successfully apply for funding!

Step 1: Check Eligibility

Check Your Standing: Ensure your organization is registered with SLE on GetInvolved

Clear Ineligibility: If your organization has past-due receipts or unspent funds, you must submit them by Friday, August 21st, 2026 at 11:59 PM to be removed from the Ineligibility List.

Step 2: Subscribe to the Calendar

Stay on top of all deadlines by subscribing to the Fall ’26 Appropriations Google Calendar.

Step 3: Attend a Budget Tool Session

At least one representative must attend one virtual or in-person session this cycle (attendance does not carry over from past cycles).

View the schedule and attend on the session on Page 10 of the Appropriations Packet.

  • 4 in-person sessions (new!)
    • Wednesday, August 26th – 5:00pm @ 4251 Student Government Suite, TSU
    • Tuesday, September 1st – 2:00pm @ 4261 MSA Suite, TSU
    • Tuesday, September 8th – 2:00pm @ 5210 Women’s Center, TSU
    • Thursday, September 10th – 1:00pm @ 4251 Student Government Suite, TSU
  • 6 online sessions
    • Monday, August 24th – 6:00pm on Google Meet
    • Friday, August 28th – 2:00pm on Google Meet
    • Wednesday, September 2nd – 1:00pm on Google Meet
    • Thursday, September 3rd – 6:00pm on Google Meet
    • Wednesday, September 9th – 6:00pm on Google Meet
    • Friday, September 11th – 2:00pm on Google Meet

Step 4: Submit Your Online Application & Budget

Use the official Fall 2026 Appropriations Budget Tool to build your budget (older versions cannot be accepted). Take a look at our Step-by-Step Guide for more information!

Submit your Appropriations Application online by Sunday, September 13th, 2026 at 11:59 PM.

*Make sure you initiate your Supplier ID registration by Sunday, September 13th*

Step 5: Schedule and Attend an Interview

In your Application, you will be asked to book your interview slot.

Interviews take place September 16th – 23rd in 4251 Student Government Suite, Talley Student Union.

Step 6: Supplier ID Registration (new + important updates!)

Your organization MUST become a Connected Supplier on PaymentWorks to be eligible to receive funding!

Important Deadlines

  • Deadline 1: Initiate your Supplier Registration by Sunday, September 13th by 11:59pm
    • Submit a request to start the process through this Google Form.
  • Deadline 2: Complete your Supplier Registration by Friday, October 16th by 11:59pm
