Welcome to the NC State Student Government Fall Elections! Each Fall, we elect First-Year Undergraduate and Graduate Senators. Students in their first Fall semester at NC State (including transfer students) are eligible to run. Explore the timeline, resources, and candidate tools below to get started.

*In the event of a tie between two candidates, a runoff election shall occur. Should no ties occur, these events will not take place.

Expense Reports

All candidates must file weekly expense reports and a final report at the close of polls. Reports must include receipts, donations, and reused materials. As public records, they ensure transparency and keep all campaigns accountable to spending limits and election rules.

Violation Hearings

If a campaign rule is broken, the Board of Elections may schedule a violation hearing. Both the petitioner and the candidate can present their case. Outcomes range from dismissal to warnings, or in severe cases, disqualification, ensuring accountability and fairness.
